Tenant Advice
I’ve personally never been a tenant myself, well, besides from being held hostage at camp “le parent’s crib” for the early stages of my life. I’ve always firmly believed in tenant’s rights and I’m familiar with how landlord’s can take the piss with tenants and squash human rights in general (forget tenant’s right).
This section is dedicated to the education of tenants. I’m not biased towards my own profession (Landlord), I know we can be the ultimate cock-suckers.

Surrender Of Tenancy Letter
23 Aug 2010 / Tenant Advice / 3 Comments
Unfortunately, on Friday, I received a surrender of tenancy from the best tenants’ I’ve ever been privileged enough to have. It was a fatal blow. The prospect of trying to fill their shoes seems like a difficult task, which I’m not looking forward to tackle. Over the 2 years they’ve been my tenants I didn’t [...]

A friend of mine is currently going through the excruciating process of mulling through a buttload of vacant BTL’s, hoping to find his ideal 1 bedroom bachelor pad. The guy is 36 and still rocking hard, with no intentions of settling down. Respect. Of course, his overused dick will probably turn green and drop off [...]

Techniques Tenants Can Use To Avoid Letting Agent Fees
07 May 2010 / Tenant Advice / 6 Comments
The other day I ranted about how I think it’s unfair that high-street letting agents Charge Tenants An Admin Fee for simply being a consumer. It’s those kinds of fees that will probably be the fall of letting agents because these days it’s so easy for landlords and tenants to make a connection without the [...]
Why Do Letting Agents Charge Tenants An Admin Fee?
27 Apr 2010 / Tenant Advice / 35 Comments
I’ve never understood this, so I’m hoping someone kind, gentle and sexy can shed some light onto the matter… Most high-street letting agents charge both tenants and landlords fees, which actually makes no sense to me. I understand why agents charge landlords, but why the tenants? It’s like car dealerships charging someone a premium for [...]

1] “That will be fixed by the time you move in” If you notice something broken or off-key during the viewing, ensure it’s attended to before you sign any contracts, pay any deposits or agree to anything. Once you’ve moved in, the landlord will be more reluctant to get things fixed because he already has [...]

Ok, unfortunately i’m going to make an example out of a user that came onto my site looking for advice. But believe me, it’s for the greater good, this way more people will hopefully learn. Earlier today someone left a comment in the Tenant Guarantor Form article, saying the following: I have recieved a tenancy [...]

I’m under no illusion, Landlords have a bad reputation; real bad reputation. Unfortunately, it’s a difficult stain to wipe off while so many rogue Landlords continue to operate. Over the years I’ve seen some real shady landlords do the most bizarre shit, either because they’re too lazy to do a proper job, or because they [...]

How To Spot A Good Landlord
01 Oct 2008 / Tenant Advice / 0 Comments
A lot of my friends rent. In fact, the majority of them rent, so I’m always getting the inside scoop on how other Landlords operate. It’s always a fascinating topic for me; I never get tired of hearing about the dodgy dealings of an overweight pimple-faced greasy Landlord that cuts corners to save a few [...]
HELP, I Can’t Get A Guarantor
04 Sep 2008 / Tenant Advice / 30 Comments
On various occasions I’ve had prospective tenants ask me what they should do if they’re unable to get a rental guarantor. Personally, as a Landlord, I would feel extremely uncomfortable about giving tenancy to someone that can’t get a guarantor. Why? Because if someone can’t get a guarantor it’s natural for me to think: Why [...]
Commonly Used Lies That Letting Agents Love To Feed Potential Tenants
30 Apr 2008 / Tenant Advice / 3 Comments
I’m not sure if I would put letting agents on the same par as estate agents, but if letting agents are behind, they’re not that far behind. Perhaps they’re not the same breed of predator, but they’ve definitely emerged from the same batch of spawn, Satan’s spawn. I’ve had my fair share of problems with [...]
