I'm in the process of revamping a house, and one of the jobs on the list is to replace tired carpet. I'm tempted to try and fit the carpet myself. The room is a simple shape, and from the tutorials i've read (lol), everything sounds pretty straight forward (famous last words). Is laying carpet simple? Does anyone have any tips? Or should I just pay a professional? Advice, please

I wouldnt risk it tbh...if you cut it in the wrong place, or it bunches up in the corner your stuffed really. For what it costs to have it fitted by someone that knows what they are doing , i dont think its worth it.

DAMNIT! I knew you'd be against it! I actually wanted to learn how to do it for future projects! Have you ever laid carpet, fifi69?
P.s. where have you been? Have you sold the house? We miss you!

haha Me? Lay a carpet. Dont be silly, im not that good. Also you knew i'd be against it because im realistic, which is what you should be doing instead of considering to do something people make careers out of. P.s Ive been here haha but nothing really interested me to comment on and as for the house .... yeh .... its ummm great ! ha Lets not talk about it.

Can you write an article for me? I genuinely want to know what it's like to try and sell a house in this market, and the types of tricks you've tried...

People make careers out of cleaning cars...
I can do that if I wanted to.

Why don't you just rent the place out (or are you doing that already?)?

Man, what's happened to you? You used to be so motivated. In fact, you used to sit on here complaining about how everyone else around you was moving slowly. You just wanted to get on with things.
Looks like you've turned into your worst enemy...
Lovely.

Actually, the more I think about what you have just put. I think you should take it back, that was very insensitive of you!

So are you paying the mortgage out of your own pocket? Can't we just put that gloomy period behind us? No one is in the wrong, just conflicting opinions, innit

Funny thing is, you were finding it hard to understand the property guardian stuff. I find that more understandable than what you're doing I've missed this, fifi...i've missed "us"
