Hi, I'm just about to rent out my ex-home & am checking out one young couple who haven't rented before and are living with parents. They both say they have full time professional jobs but don't have the full deposit plus one month's rent, and as they want to move mid Sept they want to pay the deposit plus 1/2 calendar month rent and then pay the full amount on the 1st of each following month.
What's everyone's reaction to this - am I being paranoid, and if I am and it seems a reasonable request how do I log this legally in the AST and guarantor's contracts?
Do these questions make sense? Help?!
