My Property Investment Project Has Hit A Century
21 Feb 2007I really have nothing interesting to write at the moment because it’s just a matter of waiting until the 2nd of March now- that’s the completion date.
However, it has been a 100 days since I started my project, so i thought I should write a little something. My God, that’s nearly one 3rd of a year. The time has literally flown by. And the worrying thing is that I don’t even remember the early stages of my journey. I don’t recall house hunting; I don’t recall doing any of my brain numbingly boring research, I don’t recall any of the issues I went through with my Mortgage broker, and I don’t even remember building this damn website. I think where my project has just dragged on, my brain is starting to shovel out as much property related information as it can, because it’s dying of an overload.
I’m sure I heard somewhere that the average length for buying a residential property is 6 weeks, that’s a mere 42 days. Amazing. I’ve encounted problems that has caused the duration of my purchase to double the average benchmark. However, I’m not entirely sure if the average is 6 weeks, I may look into it. Does anyone else know any statistical facts regarding the duration of purchasing or selling? Also, who can beat my 100 days? If so, tell me about it.
I guess this is an important reminder to anyone venturing into the property game that patience is required, because one purchase could drag on forever.
If anyone is bored, say something property related, so we can have a good ol’ banter

I initially started this website because I wanted to document my every step from property idiot to property landlord,
in hope that people would find my site and help me along the way. I literally didn't have a clue about being a landlord
when I started this website.
