There are many tenants who complain of black mould and think it's the landlord's fault (ok sometimes they could do better) but mostly it is due to lack of ventilation. The remedies (for tenants and landlords) are usually quite easy - turn up the heating slightly, use extractor fans in kitchens and bathrooms, ensure insulation is adequate etc. It would be handy for a PDF that could be downloaded if poss!
