abbas wrote this on 2009-09-26 10:32:08 I had a similar case when the estate agent has requested 8%comission for renewal. I knew it was wrong, Behind my back the agent called the innocent tenant to renew and he signed. Hence I paid the agent only 20% of the commissiom and refused to pay the balance. A letter from his solicitor was received asking to to pay the balance and legal fees. I am completely going to refuse and my tenant also agreed as he was not also advised.
