There’s always been something about Tony Blair that I’ve liked. He carries this certain persona which comes across as rather charming. He’s that embarrassing dad that isn’t all that embarrassing, because he’s just that little bit cool. Know what I mean? Consequently, unlike many, his success doesn’t bother me at all.

Mr Blair is a big draw on the speaking circuit, which has proved to be a lucrative source of income, and I strongly believe that’s directly related to his warming charisma. Do any of you see Gordon Brown’s loveable personality getting him opportunities like that when he’s thrown out of office? I sure as hell don’t. There’s no room for a bulldog chewing a wasp in the public relations circuit. Move over, Brown, you miserable looking hobbit.

It turns out there’s now one more likeable feature about Blair, and that’s his lavish taste in bricks and mortar. He’s already got an impressive property portfolio, but it just got a whole lot better when he added this impressive £4million stately home to it.

Leaving office was probably the best move Blair ever made, because now he’s living it large like Snoop Dog. Mad respect to his excellent timing as well. He cut and run from office just before shit hit the fan with the credit crunch n’ all that shit. Perhaps it’s a little tasteless that he’s buying up property with a £16k monthly repayment mortgage, while the average schmuck off the street is struggling to keep up with a basic £500 interest-only mortgage, but that’s how he rolls. And you know what? I don’t blame him one bit. Every success boils down to timing.

Mr Blair, or as I like to call him now, T-Bizzle, is estimated to have earned about £10 million since his departure from 10 Downing Street. Needless to say, the purchase comes at a time when the Blairs’ bank balance looks pretty healthy.

It’s a Grade I-listed mansion based in South Pavilion, Wotton Underwood, Bucks. The seven-bedroom house, which dates from 1704, comes with a four-bedroom outbuilding conversion, a domed weather vane tower and ornamental gardens. Other features include, a drawing room, ornamental gardens and two paddocks. South Pavilion will act as an out-of-town retreat from the Blairs’ Georgian town house in Connaught Square, London, which they bought in 2004 for £3.5 million. Well, obviously, you’re not anyone if you don’t have get away pad. Ya’ know, just in case you get bored of your primary residency. Psh.

Apparently the one drawback is a lack of privacy as the house lies in the shadow of Wotton House, a stately home open to the public during the summer. Somehow, I’m sure the Blair’s will cope.

Pretty impressive, right? This pad was designed for one purpose and one purpose only; i’m sure Blair recognises the potential of what a beehatch magnet his new crib contains. I’m sure he won’t disappoint the P.I.M.P community. Speaking of which, Cherie best step up her game, because you know what can happen to men with power and money…Bill Clinton.

A sneak peak inside Bill Gates house

To kick things off, let me show you teaser of inside Bill Gates House. Apparently this is a famous snap of a room inside moneybags crib…I’m not entirely sure how authentic this is, but apparently it’s real. Regardless, I don’t know about you, I think it looks swell, but i’m not sure how safe i’d feel with sharks and killer whales floating around so closely to home…what if the glass cracks?

Location

Bill Gates’ house is a large earth-sheltered mansion in the side of a hill overlooking Lake Washington in Medina, Washington. To please the crowd that see Gatesy as a sexual object (I hear there is a huge bucket load of you out there), 1835 73rd Ave NE, Medina, WA 98039, is his exact address. If anyone plans on stalking moneybags, be careful, apparently the place is protected by robots that are equipped with lazor guns. No, really.

Design

The house was designed by a guy called James Cutler, the best-known architect of Northwest Style, apparently. “Pacific lodge” is the chosen style for the residence. What does that mean exactly? Well, it’s just made from huge wooden panels to give it a “cabin lodge” effect from what I can make out. Can anyone explain further?

There has been lot of speculation that the house was designed on a Macintosh. I’m guessing only computer geeks will “speculate” about which type of computer the Microsoft Mogal used to design it. Normal people wouldn’t give a damn. I’m sure if you search on Google for long enough, you’ll find someone called Howard who has whipped up an article in his parents’ basement, on how Bill Gates backstapped his own company by using a Mac to design his house.

Pictures of the Gates’ complex are both private and copyrighted- what a shame. There are a lot of pictures available, but they’re mainly of the building exterior and the grounds. Additionally, information regarding the house is quite limited.

Features

• A 17 × 60 foot (5.1 × 18.2 metre) swimming pool, which has an underwater music system and a fossil-motif floor

• Speakers are hidden beneath the wallpaper to allow music to follow from room to room
• Visitors to the residence are surveyed and given a microchip upon entrance. This small chip sends signals throughout the house, and a given room’s temperature and other conditions will change according to preset user preferences

• The wood columns from main floor to roof in entry area are over 70 feet tall
• Some of the interior passage doors weigh over 800 lbs, but are balanced for easy use
• The roofing is stainless steel
• Hidden cameras are everywhere, including the interior stone walls
• Gates insisted on saving a 40 year old maple adjacent to the driveway. The tree is monitored electronically 24 hours per day via computer. If it seems dry, it gets just the right amount of water automatically delivered
• All woodwork is flawless. Much of the woodwork is of various rare types from all over the world – imported especially for this house
• The theater (underground in a concrete shell) is the most state of the art theatre in the world according to specialty contractor

Worth

My mate Billy actually purchased the plot of land for $2million back in 1988. After 7 years of intensive makeovers; according to King County public records, as of 2005, the total assessed value of the property (land and house) is $200 million, and the annual property tax is $991,000. I imagine it’s probably worth more than that now.

Oh yes, Price William has set to move into his very first bachelor pad. Our highness has chosen to move into an upscale (of course) apartment complex in the exclusive Dolphin Square. Dolphin Square is a block of private apartments built near the River Thames at Pimlico in London. I’m sure the prince will have a grand time entertaining his friends and family with a game of twister, followed by cheese and crackers, complimented by a bottle of the finest, in his new boudoir.

It’s not certain how much one of those apartments set him back, or anyone else whose made residence there, but I can guarantee it’s a scary looking figure that I will never have the privilege of seeing in my back account balance.

It’s said that the Prince has signed a 9 month lease for a 9th floor, 3 bedroom apartment. While William is in the Army he only needs an uncomplicated base in London for short periods, so I imagine this will suit him just fine.

The residents in the complex were informed by their new neighbour via their Dolphin Square newsletter; you know you’re living somewhere fancy-schmancy when there is a regular newsletter. Anyhow, somehow I don’t think any of them will complain about the latest news. Firstly, I’m sure the Prince will have a positive impact in the value of the apartments. Secondly, security has been stepped up around the complex- Members of the prince’s police protection team will take residence in neighboring apartments.. Higher equity and more security- who’s going to complain about that? An idiot.

So what is our highness going to get with the package? Well, you know, just the household necessities with a few extras:

- Swimming pool
- Gym
- Restaurant
- Bar
- Brasserie
- Shopping arcade
- Launderette
- Large car park that can be found in the basement.
- Tennis court
- Croquet lawn that overlooks the Thames
- It’s also renowned for being one of the safest addresses in London due to the high number of military figures and intelligence officers who live there.

Not too shabby if you ask me. I’m sure the place will go down a storm with all his royal friends. And now that the Prince has recently become single, I’m sure when he manages to drag himself away from the croquet lawn, he’ll take full advantage of his private living quarters. I’m sure he can turn up the music and his neighbouring security won’t hear a thing. Come on, he maybe a Prince, but he’s also only human…and male.

The property was formally owned by ‘Iron Mike Tyson’ (the psycho boxer that eats human ears like tortilla chips), and was sold to ‘Fiddy’ for $4.1million. The initial asking price was $25million, but I’m assuming due to Mike’s desperation, he let the property go for a bargain price. I can’t imagine what the walls in the house have seen over the years, not to mention what they will get to see in the coming years. One thing is for sure; being a fly on a wall wouldn’t be the most boring life.

Is there a cooperate side to Curtis Jackson (Fiddy) that has been kept hidden away for all these years? The lavish furnishing and business-esque finish seems to suggest so.

Of course, I’m just being a stereotypical bigot; I’m sure his staged “pimp” façade is just that, a personality that is accustomed to the rap world. He’s probably a ‘dapper rapper’ in reality; I bet he only eats fish with fish knifes.

In all seriousness, it’s a beautiful property. And I’m glad it’s not ‘thugged-out’ as most people would assume it to be, because that would be just too “fitting”. Fiddy has got style. Also, it would only be right to recognise Mike Tyson’s lavish taste, afterall, he did live there before Fiddy, and I doubt he has done a complete makeover.

Of course, I say “little baby” as a figure of speech, and nothing else. Don’t be deceived by this picture, this property actually has 25 rooms, an outdoor theatre and a large swimming pool.
