“Give us your money, we’ll invest for you”

Category: Life Is A Rant

I’ve noticed an extreme growth in companies that are offering investment partnership policies. The idea is that you give them your money, they invest your money in property, and you become ‘partners’; they’ll, of course, take a percentage of the profits. I’m not going to mention any companies in specific, because I don’t want to plug them bloodsuckers on my website.

A lot of people have asked me what I think about those companies, and more specifically, are they worth getting involved with?

In my opinion, people that opt for solutions like that don’t really understand ‘property’, and have no intentions of understanding the industry. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with that if you just want a long-term investment plan. It’s no different than going to a stock broker and saying “here’s a chunk of my savings, invest in various companies for me, and earn me some money” However, I personally could never let some other organisation take a cut of my profit for doing very little. The property market isn’t rocket science.

It’s extremely hard to go wrong in the property industry if you do some simple, quality research. Property should be a mid to long-term investment, so even if the market dips a little, in the long-term the pricing on property will always certainly increase. Unless you do something unbelievably stupid, you shouldn’t need to rely on 3rd party organisations to invest for you. All they really do is look for trends in the market, find a location that has shown a steady rate in equity growth, and then search through a database of properties with in that location. The average person could do that in one evening over the internet.

As mentioned, it’s just a matter of doing the right research. There are plenty of useful websites that will give you all sorts of facts and figures about property that you can use to your advantage. Here’s a list of useful websites Check These Websites Before Buying property

Have any of you used any of these agencies or considered it? Let me hear your experiences, my children.
