Find out if you’re getting a good deal on the property you plan on purchasing by doing your own research! That’s a golden rule! I can’t emphasise enough on how much money you can save by doing that little extra work (that’s why i’ve plastered that same sentence in several of my articles).
I found these particular websites useful; they allow you to find out how much property sold for in the past. Essentially, you can find out what similar houses on the same street to what you’re interested in sold for.
www.upmystreet.com
www.ourproperty.co.uk
If property sold for a lot less recently, you’ll know you’re getting a bad deal. However, take into account that some properties may have less allocated parking, and end of terraces generally cost a lot more than mid-terraced, so make sure you compare houses with similar features.
